Amazing Slow Downer App Reviews

Overall a great app, but tring to bring up Spotify playlists still causes ASD to hang. This would be a great feature if it worked! Update: the last bugfix release fixed the problem, and ASD now works great with Spotify! The ASD/Spotify combination is a tremendous tool.

The app is great for any musician that wishes to play a piece of music that is too fast for you to play. It is great at keeping the pitch level the same when you alter the speed. It is also very easy and fast to import any song or recording from your phone to the app. The price could be lower, but it is honestly the most useful app I have purchased for playing my trombone. For example, when I wanted to play a jazz song from a book that came with a track, I simply imported it to my iPhone and slowed it down so I could play along with it. In my opinion, it is worth every penny.

After buying a $15 app, you still need to purchase the actual song on iTunes! And this app is only to SLOW DOWN the music!

Ok, SDowner is easy to use, it works great.. but you need to have the music. What you say? Sounds reasonably logical- you have to have the music. In my case were talking mobile device. But I dont always have the music. What would ice it for SDowner would be the ability to lift audio from YouTube/others, but lets start with just YouTube, thatd be enough. The competition Song Surgeon has this ability and its the cats meow, just copy/paste a YT url and she go! SSurgeon is $60 tho. Will I eventually spend $60 in iTunes buying songs? Eventually. So the Downer part is you cant pull music off the web as easily a $60 program that does everything else SDowner does and more. Tough choice here.

You can use wifi import to download any song that isnt available to buy, like foreplay fiveplay longtime or a song that has one instrument louder so it is even easier to her if you slow it down. Worth my money.

Simple to use and just works.

If the app had more options for sorting and organizing files rather than just lumped in the other songs folder I would give it five stars. A great practice tool.

This app is easy to use for learning tunes, slowing them down and easily adjusting which parts to focus on. I can also open musical clips sent by friends. I do wish I could organize files and playlists more easily to suit what Im working on at the time. I also wish that the tuning could be adjusted more finely as traditional musicians often dont tune to standard pitches.

Theres a few of us out there still. For me... ASD allows me to take my time and discover nuances in sound and music. Evrything i have on my iphone library is accesible! That is extremely appreciated. You can play a whole song in slow motion and shift pitch a little and i love that!!! Fair price for what the developers had in mind. You can trust me im a DYSKOTEK. : ) Only one of those... Im a guitar player and sometimes when Im trying to learn a new song I use this app to slow down the song to were I can hear it and the quality is the best out of all the other programs I have used, the price is very steep at $10 but is totally worth it in the long run. I loved the option for the free trial app otherwise I r probably would not have got this app by peer chance.

Does exactly what I needed and works with all sorts of sources for music including Spotify. Thanks for such a great product.

Anyone dinging this app for what it doesnt do either didnt read the description or isnt trying to become a better musician. For its intended purpose, it works perfectly and is worth way more than $15!!! Ive been using it on a desktop for years. Super handy on a mobile device.

This app is 10x worth the money. Change the pitch✅ Slow down the song✅ Create loops to practice the same part over and over✅ Indispensable.

I have a Tascam Vocal Trainer MP-VT1 which does vocal elimination by simply subtracting the L&R channels playing the mono result. So I use my Tascam instead of this app because some tracks I sing with are not Karaoke. (There is a more advanced band limited subtract the Tascam can do but it is a very subtle improvement over the simple method.) Adding simple vocal elimination would make this App a 5!

It does not work w songs in MPEG (MP3) format that are synced through Apple Cloud if you have their music service. Songs you have bought through iTunes in AAC format work fine. So if you have music from CDs that you have transferred to iTunes, the app wont be able to read the files because Apple encrypts them when they go from the cloud to your iPhone. You can work around this by transferring MP3 files directly to your iPhone like you did in the past w your phone cable and the USB port on your computer.

Whether youre a classically trained musician working on improving your ear, or an ear musician who needs to slow down a new tune, this app is perfect. The quality is clear and perfect for almost every recording Ive tried. I also like that it connects to Spotify (though it sometimes doesnt load right away.)

I dont have Spotify because I pay for iTunes music share… And this app does not support that yet. Please get on it so I can slow down songs and practice for my job! Thank you.
